Crafting an Artistic Haven: Our Journey into the Creating an Art Room

So, picture this: We were given the challenge of creating a super functional piece of furniture tailor-made for an art room of budding young artists. This was a first for us and a unique ask but, challenges are what make life interesting, right? We knew we had to nail the dimensions and the design had to be top-notch to help create a functional and inspirational space for the creatives.

The Heart of Creativity: Understanding the Ask

Communication and collaboration are the foundation of how we work with our clients. As we chatted with our clients, we learned what worked, what missed the mark previously, and what dreams they had for the space in the future. Our client was like a guiding star – they knew exactly what they wanted. Functional and sustainable requirements? Check. Clear idea of how the tables were going to fit into the space? Double check. Clear design brief and specific needs? Triple check. It was like a puzzle where all the pieces just fell into place. The result? Art tables that were more than just surfaces. They were a gateway for students to unlock their talents, a hub of creativity in the making.

Here's a secret we're not so shy about: we're big fans of our planet. That's why we handpicked materials that ticked all the boxes for today's sustainable standards. With ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) in mind, we designed the perfect table for the space.

The table was designed with an ergonomic height for the students in addition to being steady as a rock for students needing a stable space for intricate and delicate work. The surface is created with a bacteria free laminate making it easy for the school to manage and maintain in between classes. As with any creative space, flexibility to move and create different configurations was important. Each table shared two casters and two glides to help students glide around the space and collaborate with their friends. Oh, and did we mention storage? Yup, we thought of that too. Every artist's dream – organized chaos.
