Hong Kong International School (HKIS), a prestigious institution committed to providing quality education, approached Harvest Link with the need for custom student desks. 

Initially, the client showed interest in our Prima 703 Height Adjustable Desk but requested modifications to suit their needs. They emphasized the necessity of a writable top, ideal for students to jot down thoughts and notes during study sessions. Precise dimensions were provided to ensure the desk fit seamlessly into their desired space. Opting for a black powder coating on the frame was also specified by the client, not only for its sleek appearance but also for enhanced durability, reducing susceptibility to scratches and wear over time. A key request from the client was the absence of a drawer, aiming for a minimalist design to maintain a neat and organized classroom environment, utilizing alternative storage solutions for office supplies. 

In response to these specifications, we developed a mock-up of the desk incorporating all desired features. The primary challenge lay in ensuring the desk's stability and strength without the presence of a drawer. Structural adjustments were made to reinforce the frame and distribute weight effectively, ensuring stability even with the added weight of the writable top and other items. Given the desk's height adjustability, additional safety measures were implemented to facilitate smooth adjustments while prioritizing user safety. Careful consideration was given to potential stability issues arising from the absence of a drawer, prompting the integration of extra support and reinforcement to prevent any wobbling or instability, thereby ensuring a safe and reliable user experience.
